In order to accommodate scheduled BNSF railroad upgrades at Port of Kalama, Phase One construction commences this week at the Todd Road/Hendrickson Drive/Toteff Road crossing. Impact to traffic will be minimal, but drivers are urged to be aware of the increased trucks and heavy machinery entering the area and some lane closures for paving.

The construction activities will take place in three phases: Phase One construction of a new crossing at Hendrickson Drive is scheduled from Tuesday, February 16 to June 2, 2016. Phase Two includes construction of a new crossing at Toteff Road and is scheduled from June 3 to June 22, 2016. Traffic implications during the first two phases are minimal. Phase Three, the week of June 23 through June 30, 2016, will require a full road closure of Toteff Road from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
