The Port of Kalama has appointed a new development manager, Jacobo Salan. Salan is the first full-time development manager at the Port and will manage all capital construction projects and improvements.
Salan, who has a strong background in construction and business management, has served as a project engineer and superintendent on numerous large construction projects for Kiewit Infrastructure West Co.
Salan holds a BS in construction management from Brigham Young University.
Just some of the Port of Kalama construction projects Salan will manage include:
- Railroad upgrades at Temco site;
- Construction of new Port Administrative Offices and Interpretive Center; Development of Haydu Park;
- Improvements at the Kalama River Industrial Park;
- Waterfront trails and park enhancements.
