State Department of Ecology recognizes Port of Kalama for excelling at wastewater plant operations and overall protection of Washington’s waters.

The Port of Kalama has been honored with the 2013 Wastewater Treatment Plant Outstanding Performance award from the Washington State Department of Ecology. Port of Kalama was recognized for excellent management of the effluent limits, monitoring and reporting requirements, spill prevention planning, pretreatment, and overall operational demands of the NPDES permit.
